British Ambassador visited LARES
On October 12th 2010 on the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing, Mr. Alex Neuman form British National Renewable Energy Centre (Narec) gave a lecture called Renewable Energy: British Perspective. The lecture was organised by British Embassy, the Faculty and IEEE PES. After the lecture, British Ambassador David Blunt and Mr. Neumann visited Laboratory for renewable energy sources.
Prof.dr.sc. Nedjeljko Perić elected as new Faculty dean
On 597th regular session of the Faculty Council held on April 21st 2010, the project leader prof.dr.sc. Nedjeljko Perić was elected as new dean of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing. Congratulations!

Ambassador of Canada visited LARES
On December 7th 2009, during a visit to the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing, Canadian Ambassador Edwin L. Loughlin visited Laboratory for Renewable Energy Sources. Delegation from Tajikistan in LARES
On November 24th 2009, delegation from Tajikistan visited Laboratory for Renewable Energy Sources. The reason for the visit was to improve economic cooperation between the Croatia and Tajikistan, which includes technical and scientific cooperation between universities. Mate Jelavić awarded for his remarkable PhD thesis
On November 20th 2009, dr.sc. Mate Jelavić was awarded Silver Plaque "Josip Lončar" for a successful PhD thesis and Annual Award "Končar" for PhD thesis which includes prominent scientific achievements in the engineering sciences with application in the industry. Congratulations!!
Prof.dr.sc. Nedjeljko Perić awarded with Fran Bošnjaković Award
On November 3rd 2009, University of Zagreb awarded prof.dr.sc. Nedjeljko Perić with Fran Bošnjaković Award for his distinctive efforts in promoting control cngineering as fundamental part of technical sciences, for educating young experts in the field of control engineering and especially for exceptional efforts in research, development and implementation of new control strategies in complex technical systems. Congratulations!

Prof.dr.sc. Nedjeljko Perić participated in NI Energy Forum
Prof.dr.sc. Nedjeljko Perić held presentation The Construction of Laboratory for Renewable Energy Sources on Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing on National Instruments Energy Forum which took place in Zagreb on September 17th 2009. Project team meeting held
Project team meeting was held on July 17th 2009. As part of the meering, Tamara Radošević presented her results concerning wind turbine generator and frequency convertor control and its interaction with electric power system.

New diploma engineers and bachelors of engineering
On July 15th 2009, Marko Bošnjak, Nikola Hure, Tomislav Jelić, Miljenko Kokot and Vilim Kos have successfully defended their bachelor theses on the subject of wind turbine control. The following day, on July 16th 2009, Anton Marušić, Arno Ružička and Ivan Tibinac have defended their diploma theses concerning the Multiwind project. Congratulations!!
